European Union will reduce use of ozone -defering substances

The European Union intends to gradually reduce the use of fluorine greenhouse gases and ozone -destructive substances. This is stated in the message of the EU Council.

According to the statement, an agreement has been reached between the EU Member States and the European Parliament to regulate the reduction of emissions of substances that destroy the ozone layer and contribute to global warming.

It is expected that by 2050 the consumption of hydrofto -carlerodes will be completely discontinued.

The issuance of licenses for the production of hydrofto -carlerodes will be discontinued from 2036. Their production and consumption will gradually decrease through the quotas distribution program.

The decision will enter into force after the official approval of the European Parliament and EU member countries.
