Ex-Ambassador of Britain in Russia: War has passed into decisive phase

“War in Ukraine has passed into a decisive phase. Further there are two scenarios for the development of events, and the most likely – protracted fights for exhaustion.” This was announced in the Sky News interview with the former Ambassador of Great Britain in Russia Tony Brenton.

He noted that if Moscow succeeds in the Donbas, he will receive a huge advantage in future negotiations or “will be able to go to Kyiv again.”

“This is the first scenario for the development of events, however, more likely – the attack of Russia in the east of Ukraine will choose, after which” the long war on exhaustion “will begin.

Next, Brenton described Vladimir Putin in its former experience to communicate with him.

“I remember him as a very capable, focused, not very pleasant leader of Russia – the movable desire to make Russia is again great. The person who walked on risk, but very carefully miscalculated before going to him. It is clear that Putin With which we are dealing now, is largely different from him. He went to this huge risk associated with this war, “the ex-ambassador added.
