Ex-Foreign Minister of Austria Karin Knaisl entered Board of Directors of Rosneft

At the annual meeting of Rosneft shareholders approved the new composition of the Board of Directors. It entered him former Foreign Minister Austria Karin Kneisl.

From the past of the new, Professor of the Faculty of Economic Sciences HSE Oleg Vyugin did not hit. The remaining members of the Council retained their places, reports RIA Novosti.

As independent directors, in addition to Knaisl, the executive director of Nord Stream 2 AG (Operator of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline operator), Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rosneft Mattias Varnig, Marcuard Holding Ltd Hans Board -Yorg Rudloff, as well as Chairman of the Shareholders Committee Nord Stream AG (Operator of the Nord Stream gas pipeline) Gerhard Schroeder.

In addition, the Council included the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, the head of Rosneft Igor Sechin, the ex-head of BP Robert Dudley, President of the Research Development of Qatar Foundation Fierla Alsuvaidi, as well as the representative of Qatari sovereign fund Qia Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi.

The main shareholder of Rosneft is the state, through Rosneftegaz, it owns 40.4% of the shares. Also, Rosneft has foreign shareholders: 19.75% of shares belong to the British BP, the Qatar sovereign fund Qia is 18.53%. One share belongs to the state represented by the Federal Property Management Agency. The subsidiary structures of the company “RN-ObTVAPAPINLINVEST” and “RN-Capital” belongs to 9.6% and 0.76%, respectively.
