Ex-General Prosecutor General of Armenia was released on bail

The former prosecutor general of Armenia, Agniwan Ovsepyan will be released on bail. According to the Armenian media, such a decision was made by the court under the chairmanship of the judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan.

He partially satisfied the defense of the Ovsepyan and applied two restraint measures at once – a security deposit of 200 thousand dollars and a non -departure subscription.

The former Prosecutor General will be released from custody immediately after he billed.

Recall, Ovsepyan was arrested in September 2021. According to the investigation, being the Prosecutor General in 2004-2013, as well as the head of the UK in 2014-2018, Ovsepyan actually participated in the management of a number of companies engaged in entrepreneurial activity.
