Today, on Thursday, on September 2, the first court session was held in the case of the ex-head of the Bilyasvar district of Mahir Guliyev. As reported by Haqqin.az, a matter of official who is accused of corruption, considers the Lenkran court for grave crimes.
At the first meeting, the state prosecutor read the indictment, then witnesses were interrogated and victims. The ex-head of the district partially recognized himself guilty.
The process will continue on September 10.
Recall, on April 29, the special forces of the State Security service conducted an operation in the executive bielyuvara, during which the head of the Makhir Guliyev district and his deputies were detained. Makhir Gulieva, his deputies and high-ranking officials of the district are accused of corruption. In particular, the head of the district assigned money allocated for poor citizens, as well as extorted large funds from local businessmen. For the abuse of official position, repeated receipt of bribes and appropriation of budgetary funds, Makhir Guliyev has been criminally liable for the relevant Articles of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, the decision of the court against it is elected a preventive measure in the form of an arrest.
