Ex-head of border service of KNB of Kazakhstan was arrested

Former Director of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KNB) Darkhan Dilmanov was arrested for two months. About this, as Informburo.kz writes, the press service of the City Court of Almaty reported.

“by the decision of the Investigative Court of Almaty on June 24, a request was satisfied to authorize a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to the suspect. The decision did not enter into legal force,” the press service said.

The court specified that Dilmanov was arrested for a period of two months.

On June 22, the KNB of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the detention and placement of the temporary maintenance of the ex-deputy chairman of the KNB, the director of the Border Service of Lieutenant General Darkhan Dilmanov, the former head of the Nur Zholy border control department in the Almaty region, Major Arysbaev and others.

Earlier, on June 23, the Investigative Court of Almaty satisfied the request for the detention of Arysbaev for a period of two months.

Former border guards are suspected of abuse of power at the border posts of the Kazakh-Chinese border. The pre -trial investigation is conducted by the KNB.
