Ex-head of CIA told how war in Ukraine will end

there will be no winner in the Russian-Ukrainian war, everything will end in negotiations, but now neither Russian President Vladimir Putin, nor President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky are ready for dialogue, the former CIA Director David Petreus said in an interview with the Tagesspiegel newspaper.

The ex-chef of American intelligence suggested that “Putin will understand that he is wrong, but it will take time.” In his opinion, the price of war in Ukraine for Russia will become exorbitantly high, as it was already in Afghanistan.

Petreus predicts that Ukraine will receive “help in restoration is akin to the Marshall plan and reliable security guarantees.” He believes that the allies of Ukraine “must do everything possible” to allow Kyiv to “free his country”, as well as protect it “from Russian missiles and Iranian drones.”

According to the general, the Western policies should “accelerate Putin’s awareness that the Russian mission in Ukraine cannot be continued”.
