Ex-head of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Nakhchivan read sentence – 11 years in prison

The trial was completed chaired by the judge of the Military Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Poland Gasanova in the criminal case of the Ex-Minister of the Interior of the Autonomous Republic of Ahmedov Akhmedov.

According to Corespondntant Haqqin.az, at the meeting, the sentence was read by Ahmedov, according to which the ex-head of the MVD Nakhchivan is deprived of freedom for 11 years, the beginning of serving imprisonment has been provided for from February 25, 2021.

It is also noted that the court to the relevant authorities aims to deprive Akhmedov titles “Major General of the Interior Service”, the highest special title of Lieutenant General Police, the Supreme Military Title “Lieutenant-General” and the Order “FDAG Azerbaijan”.

Akhmedov himself remained dissatisfied, in connection with which he appealed to the court with a complaint that was rejected.

Recall, Ahmed Akhmedov until 2017 served as Minister of Internal Affairs of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic.
