Ex-premiere – Nobel laureate again sent to prison

Former State Advisor to Myanmar (the post conferred to the Prime Minister) Aun Sub Sukh Ji was sentenced to 20 years in prison for treason, AFP reports.

Aun Sud Suh Zhi held the post of State Council of Myanmar from 2016 to 2021. After the military coup on February 1 of this year, she was detained junta and placed under house arrest.

San Suh Zhi became known to those conducted under house arrest at different charges of 15 years during 1988-2013. Being opposition, in 1990, she was awarded the European Parliament of the Sakharov Prize and a year later by the Nobel Prize of the World.
