Ex-President Of France Sarkozy Was Accused Of “discrediting Judicial System”

In France, a group of lawyers filed a complaint against former President Nicolas Sarkozy, accusing him of “discrediting the judicial system.”

according to the reports of the national media, on September 25, the Paris Criminal Court sentenced the Sarcosine to five years in prison in the case of the creation of a criminal organization. After the verdict of Sarczya, he said in an interview with the JDD newspaper that the decision was violating the “principle of the supremacy of law.” He emphasized that “he does not intend to give in to conspiracies, slander and insults.”

Sarkozy’s statements caused a resonance in the French legal community. About 20 lawyers accused Sarkozy of “discrediting the judicial system” and stated that his statements were damaged by the authority of justice. They filed an official complaint against the former head of state.

Sarkozy was sentenced to five years in prison

on September 25, the Paris Criminal Court made a decision in the so -called “Libyan case” related to the financing of the 2007 presidential campaign. Sarkozy was justified on charges of passive corruption, concealment of embezzlement of state funds and illegal financing of the campaign.
