Former Georgian Prime Minister Georgy Gaharia, who left the scandal of his position in February, created a political party “for Georgia”. About this on Saturday reports TASS from the venue for the first constituent conference party.

“Today we are uniting for Georgia. We unite for Georgia, but not against someone. From today, our team begins to actively participate in political processes for Georgia,” said Gaharia at the conference, where he was elected head of the party.

The team of the former premiere included the ex-head of the Constitutional Court Zaza Tavadze, the former head of the Georgian Mission to NATO Levan Dolidze, the ex-head of the Presidential Administration Georgy Abashishvili, two former heads of the administration of the government of Natia Mesvrishvili and Kakhamber Kemoklidze, as well as six parliament deputies, Which in April came out of the ruling party “Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia” and switched to the opposition.

Gaharia, who headed the government since September 2019, left the post of premiere due to disagreements with the team about the arrest of the deputy, chairman of the opposition party “Unified National Movement” Nicky Melia.
