To resolve the conflict in Ukraine, it is necessary to find conditions that in the long run will correspond to the interests of both parties – both Moscow and Kyiv.
This was stated by US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo in an interview with American journalist Dave Rubin.
“It is necessary to find a solution that will have two features. Firstly, it should arrange both the Russian and the Ukrainian people, you need to come to what will be completely arranged by everyone, and understand that no one will be able to insist on all their own conditions. Secondly, it should be long -term, ”he said.
At the same time, Pompeo added that he considers it necessary to provide Kyiv “Tools that they need”.
He also noted that all conflicts always end with a compromise and that, in his conviction, this one will end the same.
“The sooner this happens, the better,” said Pompeo.
