Expanded powers of DOST agency

Decree of President Ilham Aliyev made changes and additions to the Charter of the DOST agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, and the powers and services of this structure were also expanded.

According to the decree, the Agency’s tasks and rights include monitoring services provided in Dost Centers. In addition, the Agency was provided with the possibility of cooperation, along with educational institutions, with non-governmental organizations, other legal entities and individuals in order to attract volunteers (especially young professionals and students) to the activities of the Dost centers.

At the same time, according to the decree, the range of services provided by means of the “single window” system is expanded. From now on, there will also be complaints about violations of labor legislation and mediation services.

According to change, the duties and rights of the agency will not include the rationale for adoption and the conclusion of the adoption of the adoption of the adopted child, as well as the implementation of monitoring in this area and the requirement to cancel adoption, since these issues are under maintaining the Social Agency services.

In general, since the opening of the first center of Dost, in May 2019, the number of such centers increased to 5, and the number of services is about 30 percent, to 154.
