Experts warned about leakage of data of millions of Android-smartphones

Approximately 100 million Android devices users were disclosed due to an error in several popular applications in the Google Play application store. Check Point Software Technologies, who studies cybersecurity, came to this conclusion, RIA Novosti reports.

As experts found out, 23 popular applications have incorrectly processed user data due to lack of discriminated synchronization with cloud databases. Among this software are called Astro Guru, IFAX and SCREEN RECORDER.

Error could lead to leakage of personal data: phone numbers, browser history, location and other. Weak synchronization protection can allow intruders to even send phishing messages to the user, issuing themselves for the developer of the application.

The problem, as researchers notice, is not solved in most applications. Users advise to remove potentially dangerous software.
