Export of grain and legumes from Turkey from beginning of year reached $ 3.8 billion

Grain and legumes from Turkey in January -April 2023 increased by 7.37 percent compared to the same period last year – up to $ 3.8 billion. Such data are given by the Istanbul Union of exporters of grain, legumes, butter crops and products from them (İhbi̇r).

Directly in April, the export of grain and legumes from Turkey as a whole increased by 6.93 percent – to $ 867.8 million.

In April, the main importers of legumes and grains from Turkey steel Iraq, the USA and Syria.

The export of these products to Iraq increased by 13.3 percent compared to the same period last year – up to $ 157.9 million. The supply of the same products to the States increased by 62.9 percent – $ 73.8 million.
