Export of the products of seven sectors of Turkish industry, following the results of January-May, updated the historical record.
The Union of Exporters of Turkey (TİM) told Anadol that over the first five months of this year, the country’s total export increased by 0.2 percent – to a mark of 102 billion 520 million dollars. At the same time, the supply of industrial products abroad amounted to 73 billion 505 million dollars, which occupies 71.7 percent of the country’s total export share.
Record export indicators are recorded in sectors: skin and skin products, auto industry, electrical engineering and electronics, engineering, jewelry, defense and aviation industries, as well as air conditioning.
According to Tİm, export of skin and skin products from Turkey in January -May 2023 amounted to $ 866 million, car industry products – $ 14.3 billion, electrical engineering and electronics – $ 6.6 billion, engineering – 4.6 billion dollars, jewelry – $ 2.6 billion, defense and aviation industries – $ 2 billion, air conditioning – about $ 3 billion.
