Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the creation of the Russian operator Sakhalin-1, according to which the LLC will transfer all the rights and obligations of the current operator EXXON Neftegas Limited.

The former Sakhalin-1 operator Exxon, whose share was 30%, reported plans to leave Russia after the outbreak of war in March. At the end of April, the production on the project decreased, in May stopped. According to some reports, this happened due to Exxon’s refusal to ship oil to the Tankers of the “Sovcomflot”.
