Istanbul Safety Forum is carried out with the aim of forming a global dialogue site, said the head of the Directorate for Relations of the Administration of the President of Turkey Fakhretin Altun at the opening of the forum of the Turkish metropolis.
Altun noted that over the past 30 years, the whole world has never previously experienced the consequences of wars and internal conflicts.
According to him, the Russian-Ukrainian war again revealed the global consequences of regional conflicts and security problems.
In addition to the visible geopolitical breaks, as Altun noted, the agenda took many other issues, including energy, food, a global economic crisis. “The Russian -Ukrainian war emphasized the importance of diplomatic contacts from the point of view of the regional world and stability, prompted us to rethink responsibility in the field of global security,” he stressed.
Altun also noted that terrorism also remains one of the main threats of global security. “It is important to remember that the target of terrorist structures feeding on violence is not only any country or its citizens, but all of humanity,” added the head of the relationship in relations.
He recalled the calls of the Turkish leader to reform the UN structure and emphasized that Ankara would continue to demand the transformations of the international system.
