Actress and Founder of the Foundation “Give Life” Chulpan Hamatova said that he left Russia to Latvia. The actress told that it was afraid to return to Russia to “not go to jail.” Chulpan Hamatova was among the artists who opposed the Russian military operation in Ukraine, the Kommersant reports.
“I can’t call someone else’s grief, someone else’s pain, someone else’s tragedy, a humanitarian catastrophe with something liberating … I’m afraid to go back (in Russia). In order not to lose conscience and yourself,” the actress explained his position in Interview journalist Catherine Gordeva.
