Finland first took part in NATO exercises as a full -fledged member of the Alliance.

According to the Finnish Navy, the warships of Germany and Portugal symbolically moored in the port of Helsinki.

Frigates of the German Navy and Portugal FGS Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and NRP BARTOLOMEU Dias will remain in the port of Helsinki until April 16.

Before mooring in Helsinki, warships held exercises organized by the coastal fleet of Finland, along with three Finnish ships.

Finland officially joined NATO on April 4, after Turkey transferred the United States as the keeper of the North Atlantic Treaty of 1949, a document confirming Turkey’s consent to the country’s entry into the Alliance.
