The Finnish customs, based on the results of the investigation on the belonging of the arrested yachts, to sunsances from Russia transferred eight vessels to law enforcement agencies, two more criminal investigations were initiated, reports.
According to the report, seven of eight courts may be associated with organizations under sanctions, they are transferred to the bailiff service, said the director of the customs control department themselves. Another yacht was sent to the tax administration, as it turned out that it did not pass customs clearance.
In addition, “walking vessels were detained for illegal attempts to withdraw them from Finland,” said Raksit, while sanctions prohibit exporting all boats and marine technologies in general to Russia. Therefore, in cases with two yachts, a criminal investigation was launched due to violation of export control measures.
