In the forest near the village of Sharen in the Bayyrbujak area of the Syrian province of Laziye, a fire arose.
Regional Director of Civil Defense Service Lazkiye (White Helmets) Abdulkafi Kayal told the Anadolu agency that the forest fire appeared on the road to the village of Sharen in Rebia, the Central District of Bayyrbujak, the fire quickly spread due to complex geography and crossed terrain.
According to Keyil, 6 extinguishing machines, 5 water transportation machines, 2 pickup machines and 1 construction equipment are involved in the fire extinguishing. 50 fire brigade employees are involved in the fight against fire.
Fire brigades have been working at the fire site for more than 24 hours.
Large and thick forests led to uncontrolled flame spread.
“There are no ready -made fire lines in the region. In addition, the mountainous structure, steep roads and steep slopes greatly complicate the work of our teams. Unfortunately, we do not have air intervention means,” added the director.
Abdulkafi Kayal noted that the cause of the fire has not yet been established.
