First batch of Astrazeneca vaccine is delivered to Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan was delivered to coronavirus vaccine (COVİD-19) within the COVAX platform. According to Haqqin.az, the plane, which delivered the Astrazeneca vaccine landed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

We note that on March 30, during a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of the State Agency for Mandatory Medical Insurance by Zaur Aliyev, the General Manager for Gavi Communications (Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization) Rosie Grivots stated that at the first stage from Korea will be delivered to Azerbaijan 84 Astrazeneca vaccine doses (“VAXZEVRIA”), and in addition, for 8 weeks, Azerbaijan will be allocated 218,790 doses of the PFIZER-BIROTECH vaccine.

Note that a total of 432,000 doses of the coronavirus company Astrazeneca is provided to Azerbaijan until the end of May in Azerbaijan.
