First storks flew to Turkish kars before usual

In the Kumbetti area of Kars province in eastern Turkey this year, storks returned earlier.

Previously, the return of “messengers of spring” is connected by an increase in temperature above the seasonal norm.

Migration of storks in warmer edges begins in the fall.

The correspondent of “Anadolo” talked with a resident of the village of Nihat Ersara. “This year, good weather was established, and the storks flew up early. They begin to migrate from here in October,” he said.

According to a 74-year-old resident of the village of Mukharrem Erbil, storks usually return to their edges in March. “Winter was warm this year, there was little snow. That’s why the storks returned so early,” he explained.
