Five People Died In Fire In Three-story Residential Building In France

In the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle in eastern France, five people died as a result of a night fire in a three-story residential building.

As reported by French media, citing the prefecture of the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, the fire occurred in the city of Neuve-Maisons, located in close proximity to Nancy.

Fire crews were promptly dispatched to the scene of the incident. About 70 rescuers took part in the extinguishing effort.

Thanks to the professional actions of firefighters, the fire was localized and completely extinguished before the flame spread to neighboring buildings. Five people became victims of the tragedy, among them a 16-year-old teenager.

The causes of the fire have not been established at this time. The relevant services continue to investigate.
