Azerbaijan Institute of Food Safety (AIPB) and the Federal State Budgetary Institution “All-Russian Center for Plant Karantine” (FGBU “VNIIKR”) signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
Memorandum implies joint research work in the field of studying varieties of harmful organisms in biocenoses of natural and agriculture, identifying quarantine and especially dangerous harmful organisms, as well as the development and improvement of methods for determining them.
In addition, the document provides for the development of criteria and methods for controlling quarantine harmful organisms in the production of organic products, as well as expanding long-term cooperation and in other areas.
AIPB and “All-Russian Center for Plant Quarantine” agreed on bilateral exchange of data on scientific research. In addition, the parties agreed to conduct joint seminars, trainings, conferences, as well as a joint publication of research results.
As part of the signed Memorandum, the parties will cooperate on the basis of mutual interests in the field of food security and plant protection.
