The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan has spread information on the illegal actions of the Bagirov Ramil of the Republic of Ogly, holding the position of Deputy Head of the Technical Operation Service of Gas Khazar district of the Baku Regional Department of Operation (Brend) on Azerigaz, and Kerimov Matlaba Niyazi Opery, operator operator Technical exploitation services Gas Khazar district.
In the appeals received for these persons, in the General Office for Combating Corruption under the General Prosecutor’s Office, an investigation was conducted and a criminal case was initiated under Art. 308.1 (abuse of official authority) and Art. 311.3.2 (re-obtaining bribes) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the preliminary investigation, it was found that Ramil Bagirov entered into criminal relationship with Matlama Kerimov and through the latter received as a bribe from citizens of 5 thousand 700 manat to replace the lines of the gas pipeline passing near trade facilities and residential buildings located on the territory of Khazar district.
As the HAQQın.az was told in the press service of Azerigaz, the operator of the technical operation of Gas Khazar district MAKLAB Kerimov since April 2019 was not engaged in labor activity, referring to what is in treating in one of the private clinics. Despite the fact that M.Kerimov was treated, he repeatedly illegally changed the location of street gas lines and prevented the normal activities of the Department in the territory of the Krude district, and its actions led to interruptions in the supply of natural gas to consumers. For this reason, reasonable doubts arose in the fact that M.Kerimov due to health problems is in treatment. Due to the fact that Kerimov did not provide any supporting documents on the temporary loss of working capacity for the period from 30.04.2020 to date, an official letter was sent to the clinic.
