For first time in 4 years: in Russia, dollar set down below 58

The ruble during foreign exchange trading on the Moscow Exchange is strengthened in relation to the dollar and euro compared to the closure of the previous session, TASS reports.

According to 11:14 Moscow time, the dollar rate is reduced by 5.45%, to 58.53 rubles, the Euro rate is up to 60.91 rubles (-5.42%). During today’s trading on the Moscow Bill, the dollar rate dropped below 58 rubles for the first time since April 2018, the euro – below 60 rubles for the first time since April 2017.

The dollar exchange rate to the ruble at the opening of the tenders of the Moscow Exchange compared to the level of closing of previous trades by 9.5 kopecks, to 62 rubles, and the euro rate decreased by 60.5 kopecks, to 63,7975 rubles.

According to 11:14 Moscow time, the Mosbirzhi index decreases by 1.26% to 2,405.94 points, the RTS index is growing by 4%, to 1,295.56 points. As of 10:00 Moscow time, the Mosbirzhi index was at 2,441.56 points (+0.2%), the RTS dollar index fell by 0.26% – up to 1,242.46 points.
