Foreign Minister of Armenia and Iran discussed situation in region

The Foreign Minister Iran Hossein Amir Abdolkhiyan held a telephone conversation with the Armenian colleague Ararat Mirzoyan. This is stated in the message of the Foreign Ministry of Iri.

During the conversation, the head of Iranian diplomacy noted that the most effective way to achieve a sustainable world in the Caucasus region is regional platforms, including mechanism 3+3, formed by Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia, Georgia and Armenia.

The parties also affected the topic of joint teachings of Armenia and the USA. Abdollahiyan called the presence of foreign forces a factor that will contribute to the complication of the situation in the region.

Iranian minister emphasized the need for the fundamental resolution of the disagreement existing in the region.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia, in turn, indicated the “constructiveness and significance” of the development of relations between Yerevan and Tehran.

Mirzoyan assured the interlocutor that Yerevan would not allow the use of the territory of Armenia for actions directed against Iran.
