Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan and Iran discussed bilateral relations 6 December

On Tuesday in Moscow, on the fields of meetings of the Council of Foreign Affairs of the Caspian countries, a meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Azerbaijan Republic Jahun Bayramov with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic Iran Amir Abdullahiyan.

According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, during the meeting, bilateral and regional issues were discussed.

The parties discussed plans for the development and expansion of transportation corridors in the region.

In this regard, the importance of accelerating work was noted within the framework of the Memorandum of Mutual understanding between the Government of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to create new communication ties between the East-Zangesurian economic district of the Azerbaijan of the Azerbaijan and the Nakhchyansk Autonomous Republic through the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. ”

Bayramov informed his Iranian colleague about the prospects of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the obstacles created by Armenia, as well as the works carried out in the region after local anti -terrorism measures in the Karabakh region.

The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan emphasized that the efforts of Armenia in armament are a threat to peace and stability in the region.
