Foreign Minister of Belarus: for accession of peace in Middle East, historical compromise is needed

The conflict in the Middle East should be resolved on an international legal basis by implementing the principle of “two states for two peoples”.

On Thursday, January 18, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergey Aleinik said at a meeting of the group of friends in defense of the UN Charter in Uganda, reports the Belarusian Foreign Ministry on the social network X.

Aleinik noted that for the accession of peace in the Middle East, the sides of the conflict should achieve a historical compromise.

“a sustainable world in the Middle East is an important basis for economic development, a factor in the long -term stability of the states of the entire region,” said the head of the department.

In addition to the situation in the Middle East, the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry drew attention to Western sanctions that were imposed against the republic.

The minister supported the proposal of one of the speakers regarding the creation of a database of unilateral forced measures.

According to him, this will help to collect documents on the real impact of sanctions on human rights in the field of healthcare, humanitarian aid, socio-economic development of countries.

Aleinik emphasized that Belarus, along with his like -minded people, will continue to work to counteract the policy of pressure and coercion.
