Foreign Minister Of Foreign Affairs And OSCE Secretary General Discussed Current Issues Of Agenda

Foreign Minister of France, Jean-Noel Barro and Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Feridun Sinirlioglu discussed the Russian-Ukrainian war, peaceful process between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the situation in the Western Balkans.

According to a written statement published by the French Foreign Ministry, Barro accepted Sinirlioglu in Paris on the morning of July 3.

Barro and Sinirlioglu discussed security issues in the region, the Russian-Ukrainian war, the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia and tension in the Western Balkans.

The French minister emphasized that the OSCE is of great importance for strengthening the basics of security in Europe, prevent crises, against compliance with human rights and preserve the rule of law.

Barro said that France is committed to the principle of multilaterality and the basic principles of the Helsinki final act, claiming that “Russia violates these principles every day in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war.”

The French minister expressed satisfaction with the efforts of Sinirlioglu and Finland, presiding in the OSCE, to ensure the effective functioning of the organization, despite the numerous problems that it faces.
