Istanbul peace negotiations gave a new impetus to the process of diplomatic settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Hakan Fidan, speaking at a joint press conference with the Ukrainian colleague Andrei Sibigu in Kyiv.
“We have proved that negotiations (Russia and Ukraine) (in Istanbul) can give specific results,” said, in particular, the head of Turkish diplomacy.
The diplomat emphasized that Ankara is striving to “preserve the impulse received in Istanbul.”
The minister admitted that negotiations in Istanbul may be crowned by a meeting in Turkey under the auspices of the head of the Turkish state of Presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky.
