Foreign Ministry and Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan resolutely condemned report of European Parliament

Akhan Gadjizade, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, decisively condemned and rejected the annual report adopted by the European Parliament (EP) on the implementation of general foreign policy and security policy “, which contains provisions directed against the country.

In a written statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the report adopted in the EP is slanderous and absolutely unreasonable, its provisions are part of the slanderous campaign against Azerbaijan and raise serious questions about the future of the general foreign policy and security policy of the European Union (EU).

The spokesman said that the report expresses disrespect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of his country, condemning the anti-terrorist operation carried out in Azerbaijan, during which civilians did not suffer. He added that the report is encouraged by the separatism and the occupation policy of Armenia in the Azerbaijani territories.

“We decisively condemn and reject a report containing judgments against Azerbaijan,” Hajizade emphasized.

Azerbaijan, in turn, extended the application regarding the “annual report on the implementation of the general foreign policy and security policy” of the European Parliament.

“Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan decisively condemns and protests against biased, unilateral, neglecting from the point of view of the concepts of international law and justice of opinions reflected in the annual report adopted by the European Parliament on February 28,” the country’s statement said.
