Foreign Ministry: Armenia must learn to respect international law

Commenting on the Shushinsky Declaration, signed by the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia argues that the document is directed against the Armenian people, and does not realize that it is the aggressor policy of Armenia, ongoing decades, claims on the territory of the neighboring state, the policy that is not the interests of the people , and groups of people, and finally, the revanchist position of Armenia is directed against the Armenian people. This uncompromising position of Armenia is a serious obstacle to peace and security in the region. This is stated in the commentary of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry in connection with the statement of the Armenian foreign policy about the Shushinsky Declaration.

“from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, which for decades grossly violated the fundamental norms of international law, including sovereignty, territorial integrity and irrevomination of borders, ignored the rights of about a million Azerbaijanis, to talk about international law is the highest hypocrisy. Armenia, referring to international The right must first learn to respect him. Rejecting a regional cooperation platform proposed by the leaders of Azerbaijan and Turkey, the speech of the Armenian Foreign Ministry under the pretext of the “threats to the Armenian people” and “Threats to the region” clearly demonstrates how Armenia is far from peace, cooperation and development.

after the liberation of Azerbaijani territories in the region there was a new situation, opportunities appeared for regional cooperation. Realizing this situation, Armenia should choose – use this format of cooperation or not. Azerbaijan and Turkey, as indicated in the Shushinsky Declaration, will continue joint efforts to ensure global and regional peace, stability and security in accordance with the principles and norms of international law, including the UN Charter, “the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
