Foreign Ministry: Azerbaijan expects specific steps from Armenia

“Azerbaijan expects specific steps from Armenia for a quick signing of a peace treaty.” About this, speaking at the IX Global Baku Forum on the topic “threats to global world order”, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elnur Mamedov.

He noted that Azerbaijan is waiting for Armenia, finally, he will take specific steps to promote a peaceful process.

“Azerbaijan, for its part, presented to Armenia five basic principles that need to be followed,” Mamedov said.

Speaking of the relations of Azerbaijan and Georgia, the deputy minister noted that they can serve as an example.

“Our relationship with Georgia is a very good example. Over the past 15 years, we have implemented significant infrastructure projects in energy and other sectors,” Mamedov noted, adding that the acceleration of the peace process is necessary for the development of the entire South Caucasian region.
