Foreign Ministry of Russian Federation: Moscow alone confronts “military-industrial conglomerate” of NATO and Ukraine

Russia, in fact, is alone opposed to the “military -industrial conglomerate” of NATO and Ukraine, in which Kyiv acts as a “bridgehead”, and the West – the functions of “headquarters, rear and supplier of weapons”.

This was stated on Monday by the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin at the Scientific and Practical Conference “Ukraine between Russia and the West” in the House of the Russian Historical Society, Russian State Media reports.

The diplomat noted that Ukraine today is a “stumbling block in relations between Russia and the West.”

“Unfortunately, this country has turned into the consumable of the policy of the collective West, primarily the Anglo -Saxons, which is aimed at building a configuration of international relations that beneficial for them to keep the unipolarity and its former hegemony by any means,” added He.

Galuzin also drew attention to the fact that the supply of weapons of NATO members to Ukraine, together, exceeded $ 65 billion.

“At the same time, there was no money on the world, to support developing countries, to solve the food safety problems in the West,” the Russian Foreign Minister emphasized.

The Deputy Minister pointed out that “Great Britain has always been afraid of Russia’s rapprochement with France and Germany and in every possible way opposed such a rapprochement.”

According to Galuzin, in this context the current exacerbation of the confrontation of Russia with the European Union, “of course, into the hands of the Anglo -Saxons.” “The North Stream and Northern Stream -2 gas pipelines are clearly shown what those who are not interested in mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia are ready to go with the indicated European states,” he concluded.

Kyiv destroys everything that has connected Russia and Ukraine

The current authorities in Kyiv destroy everything that in any way connected Ukraine and Russia, Galuzin said.

“The history of Ukrainian lands is diverse and very complicated. Our ill-wishers have recently made active attempts to distort the historical path of their development, reformat the perception of Russia and Ukraine into historical retrospective. Having grabbed this line, the current Ukrainian authorities destroy everything that in some way We tied our countries, ”he said.

The deputy minister noted that on the initiative of Kyiv, “textbooks of history were rewritten, literary and musical works are prohibited, monuments, objects of culture are destroyed”.

At the same time, Galuzin pointed out that “in the world public consciousness, Ukraine and Russia have always been perceived as a single cultural and historical community, which can experience periods of turbulence, but always inevitably reunited into one whole.”
