According to this information, on February 18-19, the second meeting of the UN Secretary General A. According to Zakharova, the event, in fact, failed. The reason for this was the fact that the Taliban government delegation refused to participate in the meeting due to disagreements on the composition of the Afghan civil society.

Zakharova reported that it was not made by the UN previously announced plans to create a post of special supporting organization of the organization and the “Small Contact Group” in Afghanistan. The official representative of the Foreign Ministry said that achieving consent is possible provided that the United States and NATO take on the main responsibility for the current state of affairs in Afghanistan and post -conflict restoration of this country, return the blocked avoirs and remove restrictions on bank transactions.
