Turkish Foreign Ministry emphasizes that the report on Turkey for 2023-2024, adopted by the General Assembly of the European Parliament (EP), contains distorted, biased and untruthful accusations against Turkey.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the unreasonable assessments of the institution, which serves as a propaganda base for terrorist organizations.
In a written statement of the Ministry, in response to a report on Turkey for 2023-2024, adopted by the General Assembly of the EP, it is emphasized:
“The report on Turkey for 2023-2024, adopted today by the General Assembly of the European Parliament, contains distorted, biased and untruthful accusations against our country. We reject unreasonable assessments against political dynamics in our country, our foreign policy and the visit of our president in the TRSK Institute, which serves as a propaganda base for terrorist organizations, and some circles that made anti -Turkish sentiments the meaning of their existence. “
Turkish Foreign Ministry believes that the EP in the coming period should contribute to Turkey’s relations with the EU, including the process of Turkey’s entry into the European Union (EU), based on mutual benefit.
