Foreign students brought Indian strain COVID to Russia

In Russia, for the first time revealed carriers of the Indian strain of coronavirus. They were 16 students of the Ulyanovsky State University (ULSU) from India. This is reported by Kommersant with reference to the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor.

According to the ministry, in April, 130 students in Ulyanovsk from India in India. According to the University of Rector, “all students on the border were negative tests.” They were placed in university hostels allocated under the Observator. Later on May 10, another 18 Indian students arrived in Ulyanovsk. Tests revealed COVID-19 in 60 people, they were placed in the city council hospitals.

16 students from 60 confirmed the indian strain of coronavirus. In the Ministry of Health of the Ulyanovsk region reported that all ill students are in a “satisfactory condition.”
