Forest fires reached settlements of Russia

In Yakutia, forest fires threaten more than dozen settlements in seven districts of the republic. This is reported by the “German wave” with reference to the operational headquarters to combat fires.

At the moment, the power of the region in preventive purposes is organized by the removal of residents of the villages of Calvitsa and Harrylah, which are located in close proximity to the fires zone. People from the village of Calvitsa are exported on a boat and ferry along the river Tuyuhen. To both villages were directed by the Mi-8 helicopter with a watered device, reported in the press service of the Government of the Republic.

According to Interfax, 155 forest fires soak in Yakutia, specialists are trying to put out 71 of them. In the fight against the elements, 3.6 thousand people and 510 units of equipment are involved. Over the past day, rescuers managed to put out in Yakutia 11 forest fires with a total area of ​​50.5 thousand hectares and localize nine foci with a total area of ​​61.9 hectares. During the same time, seven new fires were found in the region.
