Former head coach of Ukrainian national team Mikhail Fomenko passed away

Ukrainian football player, former head coach of the Ukrainian national team Mikhail Fomenko died at the age of 75.

“Legend has passed away today. Mikhail Fomenko died,” the Association of football of the Sumy region on Monday reports.

Mikhail Fomenko was born on September 19, 1948 in the Sumy region. He played for the Dynamo football club (Kyiv), a player of the USSR national team.

Complete his playing career at the age of 30 due to back injury.

In 2012-2016 he was the head coach of the National team of Ukraine.

Fomenko, after the completion of the playing career, coached Ukrainian and foreign clubs. Honored Coach of Ukraine and Georgia.
