Former head of Zaminbank received 14 years in prison

Former Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zaminbank abolished OJSC, Nadir Ismailov sentenced to 14 years in prison.

According to HaqQin.az, the verdict was announced on the process chaired by Judge of the Baku Court for the grave crimes of Azer Pashayev.

N. Izmailov was accused of articles 179.3.2 (assignment committed with causing damage in large scale), 308.2 (abuse of authority, entailed grave consequences) and other articles of the Criminal Code AR.

Note, Ismailov was arrested by the Chief Anti-Corruption Office. He was accused of embezzling in 2010-2015 the cash bank in a major amount. It is reported that the former chairman of the Bank of the Bank made a fraud against different persons worth about 5.2 million manat.

Among the victims of the case, the businessman Isfandiyar Akhundov, known as “Sharurlu Isfandiyar”, and the famous violinist Jeyhun Ismailov.
