Former Russian Minister is leaving prison

The prosecutor’s office and the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) did not file complaints about the decision on the parole of the former Minister of Economic Development of Russia Alexei Ulyukaev, he must leave the colony on May 12, Interfax reports.

Earlier on April 27, the Moscow District Court of Tver granted the petition of Lawyer Ulyukaev for his parole.

In December 2017, the Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow found Ulyukaev guilty of receiving a bribe of $ 2 million and sentenced him to eight years in a maximum security colony. For the same period, according to the verdict, the former minister is deprived of the right to occupy positions in the authorities and state corporations. In addition, the court appointed an ex-official a fine of more than 130 million rubles, which was completely paid in 2018.
