Forum in Antalya contributes to effective diplomacy

The diplomatic forum in Antalya, in which representatives of many countries from all continents take part, opens up good opportunities for effective bilateral negotiations. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary Peter Siyyarto, answering questions from the correspondent of the Anadola agency in the fields of the event.

According to him, world diplomacy today has become a “negative term”, especially in Europe, since European foreign policy “came down” to the war in Ukraine. “On the European continent,” military psychology dominates. “When you are talking about diplomacy and the world, you are considered an agent of Putin, a friend of Russians or the Kremlin propagandist,” he explained.

Siyyarto noted that, being a neighbor of Ukraine, Hungary is especially interested in the “revival” of diplomacy. The minister expressed the hope that events like ADF will contribute to this.

He noted that between Turkey and Hungary, relations based on mutual respect and trust were established.

The diplomat recalled that in 2023 the countries reached a record volume of turnover of $ 4 billion.

The Foreign Minister recalled that in accordance with the agreement between Ankara and Budapest signed last year on the supply of natural gas, Hungary will become the first country that does not adjoin Turkey, into which Turkey will export “blue fuel”.

Commenting on the situation in the Gaza Siyyarto Gaza Street, he warned that the spread of the conflict to other countries could lead to a regional war.
