France President Emmanuel Macron canceled a visit to Switzerland, scheduled for November, due to the refederation of the confederation to purchase French fighters, reports RIA Novosti information from Swiss media.
According to LE Matin Dimanche and Sonntags Zeitung, President of France via the ambassador told the Swiss authorities about the abolition of a visit to the Confederation to meet with President Switzerland Gi Parmelaan. The official visit of Macron was scheduled for November and was preparing for six months.
As noted, the French leader also forbade all bilateral contacts with Switzerland at a high level until the summer of 2022. Switzerland indicate that contacts at the operational level and through ambassadors will continue.
