France Defense Budget In 2027 Will Increase To 64 Billion Euros

French President Emmanuel Macron announced that in 2027 the country’s defense budget will increase to 64 billion euros.

Speaking to high -ranking military officials in the Ministry of Defense, France President Macron said that the annual budget allocated for defense in 2027 will be doubled compared to 2017.

noting that the annual defense budget in 2027 is 64 billion euros, Macron said: “To be free in this world, you need to be afraid, and that you are afraid, you need to be strong.”

Macron added that the defense industry will be allocated an additional 6.5 billion euros – 3.5 billion euros in 2026 and 3 billion euros in 2027.

in 2025, France allocated 50.5 billion euros for defense.
