As stated in the CEA, a picture of the brain made using an MRI apparatus called Iseult was obtained as a result of a study that lasted more than 20 years.
During the research, over the past few months, the MRI device with a magnetic force of 11.7 Teslaby has been tested for about 20 healthy volunteers.
Thanks to the apparatus, the most clear image of the brain can be obtained in almost 4 minutes.
to receive the same pictures using ordinary tomographs that are widely used in hospitals, it would take several hours, French scientists noted.
The ISEULT project manager and the director of the CEA on research by Nicolas Bulan said that the research will continue to get higher quality data for several years.
The purpose of the institute to study by 2026-2030 a lot of diseases in the field of psychiatry, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, as well as neurodegenerative diseases.
