The Azerbaijan Ministry of Health is taking the necessary steps to ensure the financial stability of the health and access system of citizens to quality medical services. In this regard, the working group “Center for Health Transformation” on a regular basis studies work methods based on advanced international experience. So, at the invitation of the ministry in Azerbaijan, there is a professor of universities in Newcasl and Bologna, a well -known specialist in the field of health policy and improvement of the economy Francesco Paolucci.
The press service of the Ministry of Health said that as part of the visit, three-day trainings were organized for Azerbaijani medical workers. The event was attended by officials of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Finance, the State Service for Antimonopoly Supervision and Control of the Consumer Market under the Ministry of Economics, the ASAN service, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, Association for Management of Territorial Medical Department (Təbi̇b) as well as experts of the private insurance sector.
The report on the topic “Transformation and effective financing of healthcare” Professor Francesco Paopema shared with participants in the training of international health transformation experience, the principles of economic specifics of healthcare financing, as well as the optimal application of various types of insurance in this area.
It should be noted that Professor Paolucci analyzed the effective financing of global health systems necessary to ensure the availability of medical services and achieved achievements in this area.
At the end, an exchange of views on the topic of the report was completed, Professor Paolucci answered questions from the participants of the event.
