Free economic zone for Hungarian and European companies will be created in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan intends to launch a special economic zone for projects of Hungarian and European companies, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan said.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyiv on Tuesday, he accepted the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Siyyarto, who arrived in Tashkent to participate in the events of the joint intergovernmental commission.

During the meeting, the current issues of the Uzbek-Hungarian multifaceted cooperation were considered.

Mirziyoyev and Siyarto discussed issues of promoting cooperation projects in the areas of industry, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, fish farming, logistics, construction of real estate and other directions.

During the negotiations, the importance of the speedy launch of a special economic zone for projects of Hungarian and European companies in the Tashkent region was noted.

Interlocutors also exchanged views on interaction within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the site of the organization of Turkic states.
